๐ŸŒบ Welcome Back, My Beautiful #Loversโค๏ธ‍๐Ÿ”ฅ!

Welcome back to the RAW1111 space, where truth, alignment, nourishment, and love meet. ๐ŸŒโœจ

If you’re new here, welcome to the family. This is a sacred space where we celebrate conscious living, plant-powered healing, soulful growth, and the reminder that La Réalité Gagne Toujours, Realness Always Wins. ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐ŸŒฑ

Today’s blog is especially sweet… literally. ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿฐ

Because I’m here to lovingly shatter one of the biggest myths in the food world:

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿพ “Vegan desserts don’t taste good.”

Ohhh #Loversโค๏ธ‍๐Ÿ”ฅ… allow me to respectfully prove that wrong. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿซ

Just last week, I baked a vegan coconut double-layer chocolate cake ๐Ÿฅฅ๐Ÿซ and yesterday I whipped up thick, fudgy walnut brownies ๐ŸŒฐ๐ŸคŽ, and let me tell you… people had NO idea they were vegan. No dryness. No weird texture. Just rich, decadent, melt-in-your-mouth goodness. โœจ

That’s the magic of plant power. ๐ŸŒฑ

๐Ÿซ๐ŸŒ Dessert History: Sweet Traditions That Started Plant-Based

Before modern baking aisles existed, desserts were made from the earth. ๐ŸŒŽโœจ

๐Ÿซ Chocolate (Cacao)

The Maya and Aztec civilizations revered cacao as sacred medicine. They drank it bitter, mixed with spices and herbs, no dairy, no refined sugar. Cacao symbolized vitality, fertility, and spiritual awakening. ๐Ÿ’ซ

Milk chocolate only emerged in Europe in the 1800s, meaning chocolate lived plant-based for thousands of years before that.

Fun fact ๐Ÿค“:

Cacao naturally boosts nitric oxide production, improving blood flow and heart health โค๏ธ,  one reason ancient cultures associated it with vitality and strength.

๐Ÿช Cookies

Early cookies originated in Persia (7th century) when sugar became more widely used. ๐Ÿฏ

They were simple test cakes made with flour, water, nuts, and natural sweeteners,  again, naturally dairy-free before butter became commercialized.

Spiced cookies traveled through trade routes into Europe, evolving into gingerbread, biscotti, and tea biscuits. ๐ŸŒโœจ

๐ŸŽ‚ Cake

Ancient Egyptians were among the first to create sweetened breads using honey and grains. ๐Ÿž๐Ÿฏ

Cakes became richer during the Industrial Revolution when butter, eggs, and refined sugar became widely available,  but those ingredients weren’t part of original desserts.

Plant-based baking actually returns us to older, simpler traditions. ๐ŸŒฑ

๐ŸŒ Bananas & Tropical Sweets

Bananas originated in Southeast Asia over 7,000 years ago and were treasured as energy foods for travelers and warriors. โš”๏ธ๐ŸŒ

Tropical cultures used bananas, coconut milk, and rice to make naturally sweet desserts long before processed sugar existed.

๐Ÿฅฅ Coconut

Coconut has been used for thousands of years in Ayurvedic and island cultures as a healing fat, brain fuel, and immunity supporter. ๐ŸŒด

It’s rich in medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) that convert quickly into energy โšก.

๐Ÿงชโœจ The Science of Why Vegan Desserts Taste So Good (and Feel Even Better)

๐ŸŒฟ Plant fats (coconut oil, nut butters) create moisture and tenderness in baking — often better than butter.

๐ŸŽ Natural acids (vinegar, lemon, plant milk) activate baking soda for fluffy texture without eggs.

๐ŸŒ Fruit fibers bind moisture naturally and improve gut health.

๐Ÿง  Polyphenols in cacao reduce inflammation and support brain function.

โค๏ธ Walnuts improve cholesterol balance and cardiovascular health.

๐ŸŒพ Whole grains stabilize blood sugar and energy levels.

Many people notice fewer crashes, better digestion, and improved energy after plant-based desserts compared to heavy dairy-based sweets. ๐ŸŒˆโœจ

๐Ÿซ๐ŸŒฐ RAW1111 Fudgy Walnut Brownies Recipe (8x8 Pan)

โœจ Thick • Moist • Rich • Crowd-Proof Vegan Magic

๐Ÿ›’ Ingredients

Dry:

• 1 cup all-purpose flour

• ¾ cup organic cane sugar or coconut sugar

• ½ cup cocoa powder

• 1 tsp baking powder

• ½ tsp salt

Wet:

• ½ cup plant milk (almond, oat, soy)

• โ…“ cup melted coconut oil or vegan butter

• 1 tbsp ground flax + 2½ tbsp water (flax egg)

• 1½ tsp vanilla extract

Mix-ins:

• ¾ cup chopped walnuts ๐ŸŒฐ

• Optional: ½ cup vegan chocolate chips ๐Ÿซ

๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿฝ‍๐Ÿณ Instructions

1๏ธโƒฃ Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Line an 8x8 pan with parchment paper.

2๏ธโƒฃ Make flax egg: mix flax + water. Let thicken 5 minutes.

3๏ธโƒฃ In a large bowl, whisk dry ingredients.

4๏ธโƒฃ Add wet ingredients and flax egg. Mix until thick batter forms (don’t overmix).

5๏ธโƒฃ Fold in walnuts + chocolate chips.

6๏ธโƒฃ Spread batter evenly into pan.

7๏ธโƒฃ Bake 25–30 minutes for fudgy center. Toothpick should have moist crumbs, not dry.

8๏ธโƒฃ Cool at least 20 minutes before slicing (hard part ๐Ÿ˜…).

๐Ÿ”ฅ Pro Tip:

For extra fudginess, slightly underbake and let brownies set while cooling.
